Bio

Thanks for stopping by. To start at the beginning of my ‘timeline’, I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. Yup, the province where some think it can become an independent country. Best wishes, eh! I’ve been a resident of the USA since 1993 so at this point in my life, I like to think that I’m half Canadian and half American. Oh, and I love half and half in my coffee.

When I’m not busy doing portraits and event photography work, I love to spend time with my wife and two kids. I love outdoor sports so I try to find time for those types of activities too. If you want to get to know the real me, you may want to know what I would do if I could retire today. I’d travel around the world! I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively around North America and Europe but I want to see a lot more of our beautiful planet.

I’m one of the lucky few who has truly found his calling in life. I was born an artist at heart therefore when I’m “working”, I view it more as a labor of love. I began my photography career in the late 80′s at the ripe old age of eighteen while attending Dawson College, in Montreal. While taking courses to earn a Commercial Photography degree, I started working for a local stock photo agency that was ultimately bought by an American company. Hence my move to New York in the early 90′s. If you’ve taken the time to read this far, you may also want to know about one of my life altering events: the fact that I successfully photographed my first wedding with a Mamiya RB67 (less than ideal camera for this use) when I was nineteen. This is just to say that I started my career using analog film cameras before switching to digital in 2002.  During the past two decades, I’ve worked as manager at Getty Images, as a freelance producer and for the past few years, working full-time photographer and video producer.

My ultimate goal when creating images for you will be to create unique and memorable images that viewers can connect with. Please take a moment to browse through this website and contact me to discuss your photography and/or video needs.
